TOSHIBA TEC & WRS install
new EPoS system for the upmarket Southampton Bambuubar Club
| In the
short time Southampton’s Bambuubar has existed,
it has already established itself as ‘THE’
place to be and attracts an extensive following of
the cities elite clientele. In any one night you can
sample the delights of their delicious Thai cuisine,
simply enjoy the attentive hospitality or stay a little
later and absorb the nightclub essence.
Such a busy venue therefore
required a more efficient solution than its existing
cash register system. Bambuubar wanted a point of
sale solution sophisticated enough to provide a management
system to control the high level of club activity,
including sales promotions and management reporting,
whilst being quick and easy to use to cater for the
varied and busy demands of the club.

| The
Bambuubar Club, part of the Bar Bluu group with venues
in Southampton, Portsmouth, Bournemouth and the Isle
of Wight, turned to Wight Retail Systems to provide
a solution.

point of sale software to run on TOSHIBA TEC's ST-60
integrated touchscreen terminals

| With
the Datasym.POS solution in place, the Bambuubar Club
now receives full and accurate sales information on
each product line, which allows the management to
accurately and easily cost all sales promotions. All
items are put through the TOSHIBA TEC touchscreen
tills allowing the club to cost and control stock.
Furthermore, it has eliminated many of the operator
errors the club was previously experiencing as well
as costly wastage! In terms of security a Fingerprint
ID system is in place which gives the flexibility
for staff to sign on quickly and easily at designated
tills, and also allows the club manager to monitor
the operators, retaining the crucial security and
control needed.
