MenuMate is the new Menumark module for recording patient meal orders at the bedside using hand-held computers. Data is transferred electronically to the Catering Department PC by means of whatever technology is available in the hospital – hospital network, Wi-Fi, intranet etc. – all without re-keying. At this point the orders are printed ready for the meal service. All Menumark’s excellent costing, control and reporting facilities are immediately available.
The linking of patient-specific meal orders and plate wastage for the first time provides the ability to track a patient’s actual dietary intake over time. The MenuMate SQL back office being web based provides easy viewing of all current and historic MenuMate information from your standard PC web browser. This makes it ideal for dieticians to review the meal choices chosen and later consumed by patients in their care.
