Menumark Installation and Implementation
The individual database incorporates a wide range of local operational
details such as location structures; commodity specifications; recipes
and menus. Clearly there is a good deal of work involved in setting
this up and the Datasym Implementation Service aims to minimise
demands on the Catering Manager. Commodity and recipe details are
(probably) the biggest job of all. Datasym can offer ready?coded
lists of commodities and recipes to be annotated by the customer
and returned. DATASYM WILL THEN DO ALL THE INITIAL WORK OF SETTING
UP FILES. In this way the caterer's main contribution can be limited
to the editing of a listing with a red pen to indicate local requirements.
Standard Reports and Printouts are, of course, supplied with your
Menumark system. Customers may, however, have individual requirements
in this respect and Datasym is pleased to cater for these needs
as part of its implementation service.
Staff Training is totally critical to the implementation of any
computerised business system. In view of this it is recommended
that adequate training is included in the original budget for the
system. The allocation of this time (management to operative, on?site
to off?site etc.) is flexible and arrangements can be agreed between
the customer and Datasym.
